The CMCP422VT 4-20mA Sensor Series are an accelerometer and transmitter packaged together into single industrial sensor housing. The sensors are available with an industry standard 2 Pin MS 5015 connector, a 4 Pin M12 (Eurostyle) or an integral cable. These 4-20mA sensors and are slightly larger than your average accelerometer or velocity sensor but provide a 4-20mA output signal that is proportional to the overall vibration in terms of Velocity RMS or Peak. The 4-20mA signal can be connected directly to a process controls systems such a PLC, DCS or SCADA system which in turn provides a very cost effective vibration monitoring system without degrading the quality or reliability of the system. Just like a pressure, temperature or flow measurement, PLC’s, DCS’s and SCADA systems can easily be programmed to effectively monitor the equipment and provide the user with the right information to streamline condition based maintenance. Buffered output signals can also be provided in addition to the 4-20mA output to connect to a portable vibration analyzer to gather detailed analysis such as time wave forms and FFT data. An optional 10mV°C temperature output is also available which can be taken into a controls system and scaled for 0-100°C (32 to 212°F).
The CMCP422VT Series with integral cables include a QuickFit mounting adapter which allows the user to connect and reconnect the sensor without having to disconnect the cable, the sensor tightens with a ¾ turn locking thread. The CMCP422VT Series sensors with either the MS 5015 connectors or M12 Eurofast connectors are covered by STI’s Lifetime Warranty. All sensors mount with a ¼”-28 UNF mounting bolt or stud, thread adapters are available for any mounting style. |
