This sensor is specifically engineered for use
in gas, oil and petrochemical industry applications. It is an
explosion-proof design and UL approved for Class I - Group A, B, C ,D hazardous
locations. Class II - Group E, F and G.
CMCP3070A additionally offers other
advantages such as a wide air gap range as well as low impedance which makes
it particularly well suited for transistor circuit inputs. The stainless
steel shell is completely sealed and when mated with conduit provides
protection against damage due to water, oil, dirt, dust, humidity or
corrosive liquids. |
Installation:
When used in
hazardous locations, appropriate conduit fittings must be used as defined in
Articles 500, 501, 502 and 503 of the National Electrical Code. Models are
provided with 1/2" international pipe threads to accommodate the conduit
fittings and with #18 AWG stranded leads for splicing in conduit boxes
suitable for the application.
Adjustment:
Make sure there
is sufficient clearance between the pickup and the actuating medium (exciter
gear) to prevent damage to the pickup. The recommended procedure is as
follows:
With the pickup
part of the actuator at rest in front of the pickup, advance the pickup
until it just touches the actuator and then back off the pickup by a known
amount. The 3/4"-20 thread advances 0.0500" per turn.
